For 50 years, World Vision Lanka has walked alongside Sri Lanka’s most vulnerable children, responding to crises, strengthening communities, and opening doors to opportunity through education. Today, as the nation looks toward the future, thousands of children still attend schools with crumbling classrooms, limited sanitation facilities, inadequate digital access, and few resources to support their well-being or learning potential. These challenges are most acute in underserved and remote communities, where poverty and inequality continue to shape a child’s chances in life. The 50 Schools for 50 Years initiative was born from a simple but powerful belief: where a child learns should never limit how far they can go. In partnership with the Ministry of Education, World Vision Lanka is bringing together government, communities, corporates, philanthropists, and everyday citizens to re‑imagine schools as safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces. By donating, you become part of a nationwide movement - Sri Lankans supporting Sri Lanka’s children, and help turn 50 schools into lasting symbols of possibility.
